La Música a lo largo de nuestra historia ... Aretha Franklin

   Sabemos que la música a evolucionado a lo largo de la historia, pero debemos conocer quiénes han marcado etapas importantes en la historia de la música, son los intérpretes, cantantes e ídolos que veremos dentro de las próximas publicaciones.

   Aretha Franklin nació en Memphis, Tennessee, el 25 de marzo de 1942. Hija de un sacerdote baptista y de una cantante de góspel vivió con sus padres y sus dos hermanas hasta los seis años en Memphis, pero su madre abandonó a Aretha y a su familia, con lo que el padre decidió mudarse a Detroit. Allí su padre se hizo con una reputada fama gracias a sus sermones y Aretha Franklin fue formándose como cantante y pianista, arropada por importantes cantantes de la ciudad. Con doce años comenzó a cantar en la iglesia donde predicaba su padre.

Aretha Franklin artista que lleva los estilos tan propios como el soul, el jazz, el gospel y el pop, creando un nuevo estilo muy personal, que ha servido de pie a otros grandes artistas. Con tan sólo 14 años de edad hizo su primera grabación llamada “The gospel soul of Aretha Franklin”.
